Avondale Neighborhood Association

The Avondale Neighborhood Association is a 501-c3 non-profit, non-partisan organization with the mission of unifying the Avondale community by preserving history, embracing diversity, and connecting neighbors.

ANA collaborates with the community on coordinating several events a year. Some events include neighborhood clean-ups & socials, participation in community murals, and coordination of art walks, Walk/Run/Bike 5K, and the annual restaurant crawl. Additionally, ANA serves as a conduit between the Alderman and Avondale residents regarding changes in zoning and concerns in the neighborhood.

Meet the Board

ANA is made up of volunteers who are dedicated to serving the community.

President, Liz

I have lived in Avondale my whole life. I have always wanted to be involved in my community and that is why I have been on the board of the neighborhood association for several years. I got involved originally thru CAPS meetings. Then some folks decided to create a neighborhood association and it grew from there.

Treasurer, Daniel

Present up-to-date financial reports at each Board and community meeting, as well as provide a summary report at annual member retreat.

I love connecting neighbors with opportunities to engage more deeply with our community and promote our neighborhood as a welcoming community to all.

Favorite Spot in the Neighborhood: Alice's (even though I'm horrible at karaoke) or Sipping Turtle Cafe

Vice President, Melissa

I am a licensed Architect and have been a resident of Avondale since 2017. As Zoning Director, I act as a conduit between Aldermen, Developers, and the rest of the community to ensure the people of Avondale have a voice in new construction happening in our neighborhood. I have a strong passion for both the future development and historical preservation of Avondale and love to help educate residents in the zoning process - and how they can get more involved. Just ask me!

Fun Fact: I am an avid gardener, beekeeper, and ceramicist.

Secretary, Vacant

Director of Events, Eric

I am a professional Event Producer and look forward to bringing my creativity, organization and passion for connecting people to my role as Director of Events. I have lived in Avondale for the past 3 years and love the people, businesses and vibrancy of our community.
