The Avondale Neighborhood Association (ANA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, non-partisan organization with the mission of unifying the Avondale community by preserving history, embracing diversity, and connecting neighbors.
ANA collaborates with the community on coordinating several events a year, including neighborhood clean-ups & socials, participation in community murals, and coordination of art walks, Walk/Run/Bike 5K, and the annual restaurant crawl.
Additionally, ANA serves as a conduit between the 30th, 31st, 33rd, and 35th Ward Aldermen and Avondale residents regarding changes in zoning and concerns in the neighborhood.
Elizabeth Muscare, President
A lifelong Chicagoan and real estate broker with nearly forty years of experience, Liz has served as the President of ANA and proud Avondale booster since 2018. / LinkedIn
Melissa Toops, Vice President
Melissa is a licensed architect, long-time Avondale resident, and ANA’s conduit between aldermen, developers, and the rest of the community. She has served on the board of ANA since 2017. / LinkedIn
Gavin Hamilton, Treasurer
Gavin is a native Chicagoan and brings his experience as an engineer and product manager to provide regular financial reporting for ANA, as well as providing summary reports at the annual ANA member retreat. / LinkedIn
Eric Blomberg, Director of Events
Eric is a professional event producer with a deep background in hospitality and event leadership at all levels. He has lived in Avondale for nearly a half decade and member of the board since 2023. / LinkedIn
